An Associate Professor of Entomology, Prof. Rofela Combey, has assumed office as the fourth Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences(CANS) of the University of Cape Coast .
She took over from Prof. Moses Jojo Eghan, whose six-year tenure ended on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
With her appointment, she has made history as the first woman to lead the College.
Her tenure, renewable, began on August 1, 2025 and expires on July 31, 2028.
At a brief handover ceremony, Prof. Combey said she would be guided by five principles- collaboration, communication, culture of shared accountability for set goals, competence, and strive for excellence.
